Tell us about your blog.
Money Saving Central is a Money Saving Blog with a twist! Passionate about personal finance and helping people to live frugally, save money and cut costs. Featuring Sales Info, Online Glitches, Deals, Discounts, Vouchers, Discount codes and Bargains in the UK.
Why do you write about money?
I have had a passion for finding deals and saving money since I first got my hands on a PC and a dial up internet connection! I used to spend hours on the MSE forums and it really ignited my passion for saving money.
How did you start blogging?
I started out as a hubpages author and after I started earning money from my writing thought to myself why on earth am I not just doing this independently !
What’s your most popular post and why?
To date my most popular post is definitely How to save money when you travel abroad or in the UK. I think this is due to the astronomical costs of travelling. Even a 10% saving can be 100s of pounds difference.
What’s your favourite post you’ve written, and why?
My favourite post has to be 16 Outrageous & Funny ways to save money
I had a bit of fun with this one and doing the research was really funny. Some of the suggestions were so disgusting I couldn’t even put them in.
What’s your top blogging tip?
Research, research and research! There’s loads of help out there for bloggers and mainly from other bloggers who have been there and done it! Google is your friend.
Why are you part of UK Money Bloggers?
I have only just recently found UK Money Bloggers and I wish I had known about it years ago. It’s so nice to be able to communicate with like minded people and the help and advice is invaluable.

What’s your number one money tip?
Like all the Deal finding / Money Saving websites on Facebook – Set them to see first and you will get loads of amazing deals and bargains in your news feed all year round. I start shopping for Christmas in January and get some cracking things from doing this.
What is the best bargain you have ever bought?
Thorntons had a glitch a few years ago where they were selling boxes of chocolates for 1p with free delivery. I had about 100 boxes and donated them all to a school fair and a nursing home fair.
What is a product / service you are happy to pay the extra for?
Tailwind – I think it’s an invaluable service for bloggers as Pinterest is getting to be the number one sharing platform for blog posts.
Tell us something about yourself.
I am a mum of 5 with two year old twin girls, I run a web design company as well as Daily Deals UK and am the only person I know who’s blog is not hosted on wordpress, I am team Joomla!
