All about… ThriftyMum.co.uk

Alison from ThriftyMum.co.uk writes about all things related to saving and making money as a parent. Her enthusiasm for finding new ways to make extra money at home definitely shows, and we were delighted to find out a bit more about her blog.

Tell us about your blog.

I blog over at www.thriftymum.co.uk. I write about saving money and how I make extra money whilst juggling mum life.

Why do you write about money?

I’ve always been a money geek, I’m always looking for ways to make extra money from home. I wanted to share my ideas with others to help them if they are looking to up their income.

How did you start blogging?

After I had my daughter I started writing my blog casually, then after my son was born I started spending more time on it.

What’s your most popular post and why?

My most popular post is  5 easy side hustles to do when the kids are in bed. I think this was popular because so many people juggle jobs, kids and everything else, and this post gives people ideas to make money when the kids are in bed and they are sat down for the evening.

What’s your favourite post you’ve written, and why?

My favourite post I’ve written is 60 things to do in winter with kids on a budget. I enjoyed researching and writing this post as it gave me lots of new ideas of things to do with my own kids.

What’s your number one money tip?

Stay on track with your money and make sure you know where every penny goes.

What’s your top blogging tip?

Keep at it. Sometimes it feels easy to give up but just keep on going.
