All about… Feast Style Thrive

Hannah Brice of Feast Style Thrive loves to live well, but she also loves to share ways to afford the good life. Hannah tells us all about her journey from working in the finance industry to writing about personal finance with style.

Tell us about your blog.

Feast Style Thrive is about how to afford the finer things in life such as nice meals out, big holidays and fancy clothes. By changing how we shop for food and household items, how we pay for utilities and other essentials, and generally just taking more care over day-to-day spending, you can save hundreds to spend on the things that make you happy. We all deserve a treat after all!

Why do you write about money?

I’ve spent half of my working life in the finance industry, doing public relations and marketing for insurance companies, cashback sites, mortgage lenders and loan companies. I love communications and producing content, and I have a pretty solid understanding of financial matters so it seemed a natural fit.

How did you start blogging?

I came across a few food and fashion blogs one day on Twitter and loved that they were being run by people just like me, who had a passion for something and wanted to share their thoughts. I thought I’d give it a go, and the rest is history!

What’s your most popular post and why?

By a mile it’s the sign up post to my free e-course on spring cleaning your finances and saving hundreds a month. I’m quite proud of it.

What’s your favourite post you’ve written, and why?

I think my favourite one was a post that I wrote about myself and my proudest achievements. Life is hard but I’ve reached a point where I feel like I’m winning (most of the time!) and I wanted to write a post to encourage others to push themselves. I’ve had so many touching comments about it.

What’s your number one money tip?

Before you buy anything, go online to check you’re getting the best price. Nine times out of 10 you’ll find it cheaper elsewhere and save some money.

What’s your top blogging tip?

Don’t see other bloggers as your competition, they’re quite the opposite. I see the UK Money Bloggers group as my support network and the amount of guidance and support I’ve had from them has been incredible.

Why are you part of UK Money Bloggers?

Aside from the fact that they’re a lovely, friendly bunch of people, the group is a great platform for sharing ideas and advice and its public profile is also helping me to grow my blog.

Who are your three favourite UK Money Bloggers?

Emma Drew, Katy Kicker and Francesca Mason.
