UK Money Blogger Time And Pence

All about… Time And Pence

Michelle from Time And Pence has been making money from home for far longer than she’s been blogging, but she decided to start sharing her stockpile of tips with us all. We found out a bit more about her blog and her favourite money-saving and money-making posts.

Tell us about your blog.

I’m a work at home mum and my  blog, Time And Pence, is about making money and saving money with a little bit of my family life thrown in.

Why do you write about money?

I’ve been self employed for 15 years and have done many different things to make money either working from home or working flexible hours.  I love finding new ways to make and save money and I love helping other people who want to do the same.

How did you start blogging?

I read lots of other blogs and realised that I had a lot of personal knowledge and experience of  money making and saving tucked away that I knew would be useful to other people.  I wanted to share that knowledge and so my blog was born!

What’s your most popular post and why?

How to Earn a Regular Income on eBay. I think it’s because many people want to earn money from home but worry about the fluctuation in income.  I earn a regular monthly income on eBay so I wanted to show other people the kinds of things you can sell to make money on a regular basis.

What’s your favourite post you’ve written, and why?

Looking for Cheap Holidays? How About Unlimited Holidays for £1200 Per Year. I think this was my favourite because it was a little bit more personal and I LOVE holidays and spending time by the coast, so I was writing about one of my favourite things!

What’s your number one money tip?

You don’t need to spend a lot of money to have a great life, expensive is not always better!

What’s your top blogging tip?

Write about something you enjoy or have a lot of knowledge of,  otherwise you’ll run out of things to say.  I have lots of experience of money making and saving, so that, coupled with  family life, I’ve always got plenty to talk about!

Why are you part of UK Money Bloggers?

Because it’s so nice to talk to like-minded people. We all have different experiences in the world of money so we can learn from each other.  The advice and support I have received has been amazing and there’s a lovely community feeling which makes you feel like you are working together.  I look forward to hopefully meeting some of my fellow bloggers in person one day soon!

Who are your three favourite UK Money Bloggers?

It’s really difficult to pick just three as there are so many great UK Money Bloggers, so I will choose the first ones I ever came across as it’s those who inspired me to start my own blog.  Emma Drew, From Pennies To Pounds and Mrs Mummypenny.
